Plašči nas ščitijo od mraza in vetra. Obstaja mnogo modelov in krojev. Pozimi nam je najpomembnejše, da je toplo, zato pogosto ne pazimo na stil plašča oziroma, izgled nam je na drugem mestu. Ženske se pogosto pritožujejo, da pozimi ne morejo na pravi način pokazati svoj modni stil, ker so zavite v debele plašče, ki niso primerni za poudarjanje postave. Vseeno takšni plašči postajajo vse bolj raznoliki in spremljajo trende tako kot vsa druga oblačila. Na primer, super popularne so parkas jakne, oziroma parke. Gre za debelejše plašče s kapuco, ki se lahko z znotraj všitimi vezalkami lepo stisnejo v pasu in tako vsaj malo naglasijo postavo. Poleg tega so lahko podstavljene za dodatno toplino, a najpogosteje so podstavljene z lepim krznom v različnih barvah, prav tako se takšno krzno nahaja okoli roba kapuce. Takšni plašči so zares zelo lepi in so velik svetovni trend. Pogosto imajo pas za dodatno poudarjanje oblin. Najpopularnejše barve so črna in olivna, a krzno prihaja v vseh niansah bež barve, v črni barvi, ali celo v zanimivih barvah kot so modra ali roza. Nekoliko manj topli, toda bolj elegantni in primernejši za neke poslovne ali formalne priložnosti, so klasični plašči od debelejšega mehkejšega materiala. Najpogosteje imajo velik ovratnik in pas ter zapenjanje na gumbe, v eni ali dveh vrsticah. Takšen klasičen kroj je najbolj znan, toda obstajajo tudi drugi številni modeli, z visokim ovratnikom, rokavi na zvon, volančki, z dodatki os krzna in podobno. Takšen tip plašča deluje bolj ženstveno in elegantno in je popolna izbira plašča za v službo, za poslovne sestanke in različne bolj posebne večerne priložnosti, toda ko temperature padejo globoko pod nulo, nič se ne more primerjati z dobrim, debelim, polnjenim, dolgim zimskim plaščem.
