Vijolična barva se v naravi zelo redko pojavlja. Predstavlja moč in eleganco zato, ker jo je nekoč nosilo plemstvo in kraljeve družine v škrlatnem odtenku. Pri oblačenju se je zato vijolični barvi zaželeno izogniti v primeru, kadar na nekoga želite pustiti estetski učinek enostavne, dostopne in sproščene osebe.
