Bež barvo štejemo za konzervativno, toda tudi za fleksibilno fashion barvo, ki kombinira toploto rjave s hladno belo barvo. Beige barva prav tako izraža mehkobo in čistočo. Bež barva se prav tako pogosto lahko označi tudi kot dolgočasna barva, ki jo je pri modnem stiliziranju potrebno dopolniti s kakšnim posebnim detajlom, ali pa z obleko in čevlji bolj živih barv. Odtenek bež barve se imenuje tudi barva peska, slonokoščena barva, krem, oker in barva kamele.
