Rdeča barva je barva ljubezni, strasti, toplote, poželenja, romantike, pogumnosti, krvi, ognja, akcije in gneva, hkrati pa je tudi ena od najpomembnejših barv v ljudski zgodovini. Rdeča barva je zelo opazna in intenzivna, polna naboja in emocij, ki istočasno predstavlja Kupida in hudiča. Rdeča izziva tudi višji krvni pritisk, večjo spolno željo, povečuje frekvenco dihanja, pospešuje metabolizem in povečuje raven samozavesti. Rdeča oblačila in obutev torej predstavljajo pogum in drznost.
