If you do not fill the backpack to the brim, it can be rolled up as needed and fastened with a plastic buckle. The inner chamber also offers a pocket for a water reservoir (not part of the backpack), with an outlet for a feeding hose. Kilpi ROLLER 40-U has a very comfortable, shaped back, padded foam construction, which allows air flow between the back and backpack.
